BalletMet's The Nutcracker.....back stage!

I talked myself into the back stage of BalletMet's Nutcracker during the 2nd act.  It was crazy, everyone running around and trying to get into place.  I am really glad that they let me back stage.  Don't be jealous Renee!

OSU RPAC

Five years ago, Ohio State spent $140 million on two recreation centers the RPAC and the ARC.  Both are worth it and way better than OU's PING.  Had to shoot them both tonight for a story.      

Jackets Falling

I was out at the Jackets game last night and wow do they have some problems.   I hope they are in their mid-season slump and hope they get out of it fast.  The central division has a lot of great teams,  I hope we start playing better.  

High School Shots

Back in action this week after a week long break for Thanksgiving. I had to shoot a basketball player and a wrestler at the same high school. I was trying to be a little creative with the basketball guy, and I am happy with what I got. I had about 15 mins with the guy, and 10 mins were spent setting up the flashes and cleaning the glass. With the wrestler I wanted to make him look like a badass, he was so nice and did whatever I wanted him to do. Some are calling he the best wrestler in central ohio in the past 10 years.

Ohio State vs. Michigan

I was sent to cover the Michigan game up in Ann Arbor for the first time this year. I am was little nervous at first, but once I turned my ipod on everything was just the same. I had a great game on Saturday and also had the lead photo on the sports page. Here are 5 photos I like best. I hope everyone has a great thanksgiving, I am up in Chicago for it again this year. Ohio State Basketball

I had to shoot two women's game last week, I like shoot their games. They are going to be really good this year. Lets hope for a deep run in the tournament this year, maybe final 4.

Gahanna Champs!!!

Way to go Gahanna, They beat the #1 team in the nation in the state championship game in a shootout.

Shootout Shots

So I took two different shootout shots in the last couple of weeks and I don't know what one I like better. The one is a save with his head and the other is a shootout miss with little boys trying to distract the shooter. I like both, but I think I am going to go with the little boys. HAHA. Whatever it takes to win.

State Soccer Championship

So I spent all day on friday covering the Boys State Soccer Championships at Crew Stadium and it was a blast. Columbus teams were 3 for 3 in winning state championships and the last match of the day was a classic. Gahanna beat the No 1 beat in the country 4-3 in a shootout. The best player in the state of ohio made the last kick of the game. Here is game one.

Purdue game

Well the Ohio State vs Purdue game didn't turn out well for the Buckeyes, but it was a good game for me. Well only sent 2 photographers to the game and I had to step up. I hope they play better today.

So I traveled 1,832 miles to see my mother, step-dad and little brother for a short weekend. We went to a Blue Jackets game and also a Cardinals game. I had a great time even if it was only 3 days. I also got to see one of my good friends corky jean, and her new house and all her new friends. FUN FUN

All American Quarter Horse Congress

Last night I went over to the All American Quarter Horse Congress to watch my good friend Katie Rings and her horse compete in a Reining Futurity contest.  I don't really know what it is, but I do know they all have to slide, walk backwards, and do a couple figure eights.  She scored a 187, which is a good score.  Still not a chance I would get on a horse, right Domer?!?!

Back with the Crew

Its been a couple months since I shot a Crew game, but I was back at on Sunday. The crew won 2-1 over Houston and now has the best record in the league. I got some good action but missed a little fight on the other side of the field that resulted in two players getting reds cards. Anyways, I hope the crew keeps on winning and gets back to the Championship game so I can go cover it again. Enjoy!

OSU vs. USC

I was one of four photographers covering the game on Saturday night for the Dispatch and it was great. With 106,033 people in the stadium cheering and screaming so loud the place was electric. I did have this feeling that when USC got the ball back with 6 mins to go and down by 5 that they would score. They did, and ended up winning the game 18-15. I had a really great night shooting. I think I ended up with 5 pictures in the paper the next day, which is a lot with 4 photographers. Enjoy!

Big Rock Little Rooster

Big Rock Little Rooster is a new upscale bridal store in the short north and the store is sweet.  The dresses cost between 3,000-8,000$ bucks, I think thats a lot but what do I know.  I think the store has a great name and hope it does well.  Thanks and happy labor day to all!

Bobby and the Bulls

So my good friend Bobby went over to Spain for the running of the bulls and didn't ask or take me.  Here is his pictures from the event.  As you can see in the second photo he is really close to the wall and touching the butt of the bull.  I am pissed that I didn't go, I think it would have been a blast.  Who else wants to run with the bulls.
