Hunting the evil weed!

Spent a whole day and evening in Meigs County with law-enforcement officers to find marijuana in the backcountry of Southeast Ohio.  It was really cool to spend the day with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation.  On the day they found over 500 plants worth over a half a million dollars.  At one house they found over 203 planets, it was a huge.  Just to let you know I didn't get to smoke any! Enjoy

First day of kindergarten

It took me all afternoon to try and find some afternoon kindergartners waiting to check the bus.  I drove past this family in Hilliard and figured they would work.  The little girl in the picture started to cry when her big brother got on the bus.  Gotta love dad with the video camera, mom with the digital camera and grandma with the film camera.

Davidson Wildcat

Yesterday we had a photo shoot at the dispatch with different local high school mascots for our high school football preview section.  We had 6 different mascots and one of them was from my old high school, Hilliard Davidson.  I asked the cheerleader who was wearing the wildcat if I could get my picture with the head on.  She also was the little sister of someone I knew in high school.  So here is me with the wildcat head on, I was trying to give my best wildcat gerrrrrrrr!  Have a good one!

The Wilds

So I went out to the Wilds, a place that no one knows about and everyone should go.  The Wilds is one of the largest and most innovative wildlife conservation centers in the world. Located on nearly 10,000 acres in southeast Ohio, it is home to rare and endangered species from around the world living in natural, open-range habitat, as well as home to hundreds of indigenous species.  It doesn't look like anything from Ohio. Second Place

So my summer softball season ended on Monday night losing in the Championship game 14-13 in the top division of the Hilliard adult softball league.  In two years we went from playing in the Championship game in Division 4 (lowest league) to the Championship game in Division 1.  All season we will without our pitcher Mike, who coached his twin boys baseball team.  We will have him back next year and will win it all, I promise that!

South-western School Levy Failed

I am very sad to report that the South-western school levy failed tonight.  Its really sad to see Grove City and Westland High Schools not have sports, clubs, or any after school events this year.  I don't know what I would do if this happen to Hilliard when I was in High School.  It SUCKS!

Here is a link to a video that I made about this levy and what will happen to a Westland couple.  http://www.dispatch.com/live/content/multimedia/video/hd_video.html?playerId=dispatchlargecustom&referralObject=7286660
