Fire and Water

So I went to my first fire last night and it rocked.  Just after I left from work I got a call saying that there was a fire on the south side.  I ran over there as fast as I could and took some pictures from the highway, yes the highway.  After about 30 mins all the cool parts of the fire were out and smoke was all over the place.  I am also uploading a swimming picture that I took this weekend.  Look out for more swimming pictures from the state championship next weekend from canton.  I like the picture because she was just waiting for the times to post after kicking everyone butt in the race.  Off to Cleveland for a couple days for work.

Basketball and Chez-its

Sorry about the lack of posts the last week, I have been battling some sort of sickness.  Anyways, here is one of my better high school basketball pictures in a while.  I was lucky that I had lights set up for the game and also they went off at the right time.  I was shocked to see how high he jumped to block the shot.  It was sweet!  I had an assignment this week to shoot a community center and how they had to take out peanut butter for their lunches and snacks.  This little girl was so cute I just had to take the picture as she looked up at me.  She was rocking out her chez-its and juice after her nap.  I would love to take a nap every day.  Thanks for looking.

casa de los horrores de los tricolores

Last night I was out in all the rain, wind, and tornado/ hurricane like conditions to shoot the USA vs. Mexico World Cup qualifying match at Crew Stadium.  I was at the first USA/Mexico game 8 years ago in 2001, which the United States won 2-0.  This time around I wasn't taking pictures in the stands for myself, but on the field taking pictures for the Dispatch.  The stadium was rockin last night with both fans cheering and acting crazy.  The only problem happen after the US scored their second goal in stoppage time the Mexican fans were upset that started throwing glass beer bottles on the field.  One of those bottles landed about 2 feet from me and exploded  all over me.  I didn't get hurt or cut, but if i were two more feet to the left I think I would still be at the hospital.  So for taking pictures it was one of my best games ever.  The front page picture (top picture) was a shot that no other photographer had, even SI,  I was in the prefect position.  Thanks for looking.  Here is the link to all the pictures.  Thanks
